Vestas to build zero-waste turbines from 2040

The wind OEM is to develop a new strategy for waste management to solve a growing waste problem. Suppliers aren't forced to do the same, however.

The wind industry has a problem that's only getting worse. As the industry itself as well as its products gain in size, the amount of waste from production also increases. Now Vestas commits doing something about that. The wind turbine manufacturer has set the goal that as of 2040, the company will produce turbines with zero waste.
