The wind turbine manufacturer sourced 13 percent less of its electricity consumption from renewables in 2018, a year in which the company produced both more CO2 and industrial waste. The company's SVP for Global Quality, Safety and Environment concedes that this appears hypocritical but maintains that Vestas is becoming more sustainable.
