Wind supplier feels the impact of Chinese sanctions: "We are heading down a dangerous road"

EU must introduce requirements for local production in the wind industry, says Jupiter Bach’s CEO. Otherwise, Europe will lose production and the knowledge needed to regain its footing.

The EU has a harsh tax on Chinese fiberglass. In 2022, citing illegal state aid, the European Commission raised the penalty duty on the raw material, which is used in large quantities in the production of wind turbines, so that up to 69% must now be paid on top of the import price.
