British-American wind duo to install 3 GW with turbines from Vestas and Siemens

A team of two energy companies – one from the US and one from the UK – aim to establish comprehensive wind activities in the US, using Danish-developed turbines and aided by the US PTC tax scheme.

Danish turbine manufacturer Vestas ended last year with a flood of new order announcements, where many customers remain unnamed. One of these customers is likely a new, green, British-American energy duo. US energy company Southern Power has now stated along with British energy company RES that going towards 2020 the partners will erect 3,000 MW for ten onshore wind farms in the US.
