
Danish turbine manufacturer Vestas ended last year with a flood of new order announcements, where many customers remain unnamed. One of these customers is likely a new, green, British-American energy duo. US energy company Southern Power has now stated along with British energy company RES that going towards 2020 the partners will erect 3,000 MW for ten onshore wind farms in the US.
This marks the first time that Southern Power and RES have joined forces in a partnership to develop wind farms, although both companies have extensive experience with wind projects independent of each other.
