Nordex has been granted an order for 285 MW in the US. The German wind turbine manufacturer has announced that the company has received an order for the installation of 95 turbines in the 3 MW series for a project, of which the names of neither the farm nor the customer have been specified. The customer is referred to as a "large international electricity supplier". It is likewise not disclosed when the turbines are expected to be installed.
Regardless, this is the biggest order that Nordex has ever received in the US. After several years of absence, the Germans have once again entered the US market, following the purchase of Spanish manufacturer Acciona, which was granted an order last year for 228 MW in Texas. At the time, this was the largest in the manufacturer's US history.
