Vestager approves aid for battery producers

The EU has approved EUR 3.2 billion in state subsidies for battery companies supplying the EV industry.

Battery manufacturers in seven EU countries can look forward to receiving EUR 3.2 billion in state subsidies toward 2031.

This is clear following the EU's competition authority having approved the subsidies on Monday.
