Danfoss buys hydraulics rival for USD 3.3 billion

The acquisition of an Irish competitor with 11,000 personnel in a landmark transaction doubles Danfoss' hydraulics business and provides access to a strategic key market.

Tuesday, Danfoss entered an agreement to take over Irish hydraulics giant Eaton Hydraulics. The Danish cleantech group is paying USD 3.3 billion for its rival, making the deal the company's largest to date, Danfoss informs in a statement.
