Auto giant and Total form joint venture on battery factories

French automotive multinational Groupe PSA and oil supermajor Total plan to invest around EUR 5 billion in battery factories in Germany and France through subsidiaries Saft and Opel, aiming to cover 10 percent of European battery supply in 2030.
