ARC's Copenhagen CCS plant takes form with construction set for spring

The pilot CCS facility at Copenhagen's Amager Bakke waste incinerator now enters the final design phase with a view to start construction from the spring of 2021 and begin capturing CO2 from the smoke stack as early as the following year.

If everything goes according to plan, a consortium consisting of Danish waste incinerator operator ARC, the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and engineering consultancy Rambøll will be able to break ground at the planned pilot system for carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) at Copenhagen's waste incinerator, Amager Bakke.
