Aker's hydrogen venture to invest EUR 6m in green firm

An ownership stake in Norwegian firm Greenstat is to strengthen Aker's ambitions of investing more in renewables.

Over the past decades, Aker has invested in oil, gas and offshore, but new investments will now be made in renewable energy, the company announces. Aker's newest venture, Aker Clean Hydrogen Operating Company, means to invest NOK 60.5 million (EUR 5.9 million) in an ownership stake of 23 percent in compatriot firm Greenstat, reports business media E24.
