Norwegian consortium to build Europe's first green, large-scale ammonia plant

A consortium of Norwegian heavyweights mean to pave the way for green ammonia production. Statkraft, Yara and Aker Horizons have signed a letter of intent on a partnership that will produce and develop a value chain for green hydrogen and ammonia in Norway, initially intending to reorganize production at Yara's ammonia factory in Herøya, which has an annual production of 530,000 tonnes.
