Ørsted strikes CCS deal with Aker

The utility signs an MoU with Aker Carbon Capture and Microsoft on CO2 capture from biomass, potentially by way of Northern Lights.

Ørsted once again expands its partnership circle within carbon capture and sequestration (CCS). The Danish utility has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Norway's Aker Carbon Capture as well as Microsoft on studying the possibilities of CCS at Danish biomass plants, potentially by way of Norwegian project Northern Lights, in which Aker and Microsoft are already engaged, writes Ørsted.
