
Norsk Hydro is planning to develop and operate hydrogen production facilities to accommodate both large in-house needs as well as supplying external markets by utilizing its industrial capabilities and knowledge of renewable power, the company writes in a stock exchange notice.
The company's hydrogen plans are reportedly meant to help the aluminum producer bring down its emissions and achieve the climate objective of cutting its carbon pollution by 30 percent ahead of 2030.
