Port of Rotterdam to secure green hydrogen from Tasmania

The Port of Rotterdam is set to buy green hydrogen from Tasmania, whose government plans to establish industrial production and major exports of the fuel as of 2027.

Australian island state Tasmania means to examine the options of exporting green hydrogen to the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, reads a statement from the Tasmanian government.

Tasmania has set a goal of becoming a green hydrogen producer for its home market in the short term and to begin exporting in 2027.
