Novozymes is planning to increase prices to cover increasing costs of raw materials, higher energy prices and greater expenses on logistics, the enzymes producer informs in a statement Thursday morning.

"Over the past six months, Novozymes has experienced unprecedented inflation on raw materials and this initiative is put in place to recover these headwinds and will include more frequent reviews and adjustments as the situation evolves," the company writes in the media release.

The price hikes will vary according to business area and product, and all customers have either already been informed or will soon be contacted by the company's account managers.
