Wärtsilä's Q2 orders advanced while Russia exit burdened performance

Engine manufacturer Wärtsilä advanced on several parameters in Q2, including the number of orders. At the same time, the company has completed its exit from Russia, which affects results for the first half-year.

Finnish engine manufacturer Wärtsilä saw progress in the second quarter on several parameters despite uncertainties as well as the war in Ukraine, which has had a particular effect on the company finances.

Wärtsilä’s revenue increased to EUR 1.4bn in Q2 against EUR 1.1bn in the same period last year. For the year’s first six months, revenue overall grew by 27% to EUR 2.6bn.
