Wärtsilä books a EUR 200m loss from Russian exit

Even though order books and demand for maritime services were stable last year, Wärtsilä still experienced losses from terminating Russian operations and throttling down production in Italy.

Russia’s attack on Ukraine took a toll on Finnish tech supplier Wärtsilä in 2022, where the group exited Russian market and booked a EUR 200m loss as a direct result.
