Equinor pulls out of hydrogen and CCS project

The Norwegian oil company and partner Vår Energi have decided to withdraw from the Barents Blue project, which Horisont Energi aims to continue with new partner.

Both Equinor and Vår Energi have left hydrogen project Barents Blue upon expiry of the partnership agreement on Jan 31. Instead, Horisont Energi has brought in Fertiberia as a partner for what was originally meant to be Europe’s first large-scale blue ammonia production facility.
