The charge point operator and platform provider Spirii wants to expand its presence in Europe, and with a new collaboration in the UK, the ambitions are a little closer. 

Vital EV has chosen Spirii to develop the company’s software platform, Occulus, which Vital EV will use to manage and scale its customers’ network of fast chargers across manufacturers.

”We are extremely pleased that Vital EV has chosen Spirii to develop their eMobility platform. Vital EV clearly stated that they were looking for a top-of-the-line platform, and we were able to live up to that. For me, the collaboration is therefore proof that we are fully equipped to drive the transition to electric cars across Europe in collaboration with the charging operators,” says Tore Harritshøj, CEO and co-founder of Spirii, in an announcement. 

The agreement with Vital EV will initially cover 750 fast chargers in the UK. Vital EV will be joined by a development team from Spirii, which will help optimize and expand the collaboration in accordance with what the market enables. For Spirii, it also makes sense to collaborate in the field of fast charging, as it is a focus area for the charging player, explains the CEO. 

”There is no doubt that fast charging plays a key role in the electric transition. Driving an electric car should be easy and hassle-free, and that requires fast charging first and foremost. Therefore, accelerating the rollout cannot be fast enough,” says Harritshøj.
