Pressure on UK government to make heat pumps mandatory

Analysts are calling on the government to make pumps mandatory for all new homes and scale up subsidies for installation in existing properties.

The UK is nowhere near its target of installing at least 600,000 heat pumps in homes per year and is lagging far behind other European countries, according to a new report from the monitoring organization MCS, as cited by the Guardian.
