NKT enters partnership with Norwegian Hydro

Strategic partnership with Norwegian aluminum producer to pave the way for less CO2-heavy cables.

A Danish/Norwegian collaboration will pave the way for greener power cables in the future. NKT and Hydro have entered into a strategic partnership in which the two companies will jointly research and develop products for the use of aluminum wire rod with a lower carbon footprint towards 2030. The collaboration is based on Hydro’s Reduxa 4 concept, which emits less than four kilograms of CO2 per kilogram of aluminum.
