
A billion-dollar upgrade of ExxonMobil's refinery in Antwerp is almost completed. In the first half of 2018, the refinery will be fully operational and ready to send new, cleaner fuels to the market – and this includes to the shipping industry, reports Reuters.
Shipping faces new requirements in two years, where vessels will no longer be allowed to sail with fuel containing more than 0.5 percent sulfur unless the vessel is equipped with technology that can cleanse the fuel to below that limit,.
