China acquires large gas project in Iran

Trump's sanctions against Iran have prompted French Total to withdraw from a billion-dollar project in Iran.

The state-owned, Chinese oil company China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) is expected to take the leading role in an Iranian gas project valued at USD 4.89 billion, writes Bloomberg.
