Norway's new oil minister: Oil and climate goals can go hand in hand

The new Norwegian oil minister Kjell-Børge Freiberg tells Sysla in an interview that he does not see any opposition between fossil fuels and climate change mitigation. He wants Norway to play a central role.

Norway has appointed Kjell-Børge Freiberg as its new oil and energy minister. The new minister is a big proponent of Norwegian oil production, which he thinks should produce as much oil as possible, Freiberg says to Sysla in an interview.
