Oil company operates North Sea field via remote control at Norwegian HQ

Since Wednesday this week, Norwegian oil company Aker BP has operated a crewed North Sea oil rig via remote control from its headquarters in Norway.

North Sea oil field Aasen is now being operated from Aker BP's offices in Trondheim, the company announces on its website.
