Statkraft rejects gas boom when coal is phased out

Unlike other players, the Norwegian utility does not believe that phasing out coal in Germany will lead to a huge boom for gas demand.

Renewable energy sources, and to a lower degree, gas, will supplement coal as it is phased out in countries such as Germany, which will also wind down their nuclear power, say several utilities.
