Former Danish PM supports sanctions against firms tied to Nord Stream 2

US economic sanctions will impact Danish companies such as engineering consultancy firm Rambøll and freight forwarder Blue Water Shipping – but might be necessary to stop Nord Stream 2, says Denmark's former Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

Danish firms will come into the crossfire if the US imposes sanctions against companies that either finance or participate in developing gas pipeline Nord Stream 2 between Russian and Germany. And this will end up being the price if the EU does not stop the the project, says Denmark's former Prime Minister and NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, reports Danish daily Politiken.
