Aker BP strikes new North Sea gas

Norwegian oil and gas company Aker BP has uncovered a smaller gas deposit near the North Sea's Bøyla field.

After having drilled to an approximate depth of six kilometers, Aker BP via its license 869 came across a "small gas discovery" near the Bøyla field in the North Sea, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate informs in a statement.
