Brent field nearly pumped dry: Reference name maintained
The Brent oil and gas field, the European reference oil's namesake, is almost depleted.

Oil and gas field Brent, from which the European reference oil took its name, is about to run dry. Royal Dutch Shell is expected to withdraw from the site at some point next year, reports The Wall Street Journal.
