Study: Exxon blowout emitted more methane than whole countries in a year
An Ohio oil well that exploded last year leaked more methane than some countries emit in a whole year, shows a new study published Monday.
It's not every day the public gets to see precise documentation of the climatological impact of oil and gas activities, when they go awry. And it's thereby all the more noteworthy that a new analysis compiled by researchers from the US and the Netherlands does just that.
