Singapore yard goes from 20,000 employees to 850 due to coronavirus restrictions

Restrictions from authorities in late April reduced the workforce for the Singapore-based yard Sembcorp Marine to a minimum. This has limited activities considerably, writes the group in an update.

When authorities in Singapore on April 21 prohibited migrant workers from leaving their dorms, almost the entire workforce at yard group Sembcorp Marine disappeared overnight.
