Russian pipe-laying vessel reaches Nord Stream 2 depot

A Russian company has lost two important legal battles in Europe. On the other hand, a vessel able to lay the last of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline to lie in Danish waters has sailed around the Earth and is now near the Baltic island Bornholm.

It's something of a journey that pipe-laying vessel Akademik Cherskiy has been on since February. After having left Nakhodka near Vladivostok close to the Russian border with North Korea, it sailed around Africa and has since made its way into the Baltic Sea.
