IEA reports giant slide in natural gas demand

In a new report the IEA writes of a historical shock in the global natural gas market. 2020 Demand drops twice as much during he financial crisis.

The Covid-19 pandemic and a mild winter resulted in a historical shock in the global gas market, with 2020 demand expected to fall by 4 percent. That would be the largest decline to date and twice as much as was the case in the wake of the financial crisis, the International Energy Agency writes in a press release on a new report, published Monday.
