Danish subsupplier solves toxic problem for oil sector

Hytor has invented a unique system to automate chemical distribution and thereby spare both staff and the environment from exposure to toxins. The concept has been tested in connection with renewing Denmark's Tyra platform, and now the company wants to market the solution to the rest of the world.

Handling the dosage of chemicals used in oil extraction requires extensive and stringent safety precautions, and on many fossil fuel platforms around the world, such a task has been thus far been dealt with manually by offshore personnel.
