Total eyes new oil projects in Denmark

Even without new oil licenses, coming projects in Denmark could increase current output by two thirds, says report. Total aims to future-proof the Danish North Sea, according to Philippe Groueix, head of Total E&P Denmark.

At least 183 million barrels of oil equivalent in new Danish oil and gas resources lie waiting to be extracted over the coming ten years; resources for which no expansion plans have yet been approved, according to estimates by analyst firm Rystad Energy seen by EnergyWatch.
