It's crucial that clarity be established as soon as possible concerning policy framework for Denmark's oil and gas industry, because the country still needs the fossil fuels, just as the industry can still play a decisive role within carbon capture and sequestration (CCS), says trade association Oil Gas Denmark in the wake of Danish North Sea monopoly operator, French supermajor Total, announcing its withdrawal as a bidder in the pending 8th oil exploration licensing tender.
