Nord Stream 2 partners retain confidence in project

The group backing the pipeline expects the project to reach completion. "Adding new Sanctions against a gas pipeline is not something that will improve transatlantic relations," says Rainer Seele, CEO of project partner OMV.

Nord Stream 2's backers remain confident that the project will commission. Even though US sanctions have only piled up and become more extensive during this last year and construction has stalled, the pipeline partners are still convinced that the gas will flow at some point.
