Shell elects new chair, proposes 50-percent female board

The British-Dutch supermajor elects former BHP Group CEO Andrew Mackenzie as its new board chair. The company's latest AGM also featured a call to fill half of the board's seats with female members.

Royal Dutch Shell Plc has appointed former BHP Group executive Andrew Mackenzie as chairman, and said its board would have as many women as men on it for the first time.
