UK fossil lobby sees potential British oil halt as harmful to climate agenda

The climate won't benefit from an end to British oil extraction, says the UK industry's largest sector organization.

It didn't go unnoticed by Oil and Gas UK (OGUK) when media The Telegraph reported on Sunday that the British government mulls both letting current oil and gas licenses cease in 2040 and not awarding new exploration licenses.
