New acquisition underscores Ineos’ hunger for Danish North Sea leftovers
The acquisition of Hess Denmark extends Ineos’ horizon for operations in the Danish North Sea. On the other hand, the newly acquired Syd Arne field has been incurring substantial losses for years, but this is no cause for concern, says Ineos Denmark COO Mads Weng Gade.
With the acquisition of Hess Denmark, Ineos has taken over operatorship of the Syd Arne field, thereby extending the British company’s oil production in Danish waters for some years ahead. Now it’s time to squeeze the last drops out of the oil reservoir beneath Syd Arne in the best possible way.
