Equinor continues British efforts with two new power plants

Oil firm Equinor and utility SSE are to establish a hydrogen power station and a gas-fired plant with CCS in the UK's heavily industrial Humber region.

Activity levels are high in industrial area Humber, which the British government has declared an especially important area in which to kick off green energy initiatives. Alongside Norwegian oil firm Equinor, authorities have announced plans to spend over NOK 2.7bn (EUR 268m) on a series of projects.
