US exempts Nord Stream 2 AG from sanctions

A new report shows that the US will exempt project company Nord Stream 2 AG from pipeline-related sanctions due to national interests.

The US means to exempt the company behind gas pipeline Nord Stream 2, set to supply European countries with Russian natural gas, from sanctions, according to a report from the Department of State issued Wednesday.
