
John Fredriksen's Seadrill is set to appoint a new chairman at a time when the drilling company is working hard to secure a comprehensive rescue deal in the US while under bankruptcy protection.
After serving one and a half year as chairman of Seadrill, Glen Ole Rødland will step down with immediate effect, according to a press release. Rødland has served as chairman since 2019, when he took over from John Fredriksen.
