TotalEnergies sees grant as kickstart to Denmark's role as European CCS hub

The Bifrost project will be able to store 3 million tonnes of CO2 from 2027, however dependent on subsidy, which the French oil group and partners have now received, starting a new chapter in the company's history in Denmark.

With DKK 75m (EUR 10m) in support from Denmark's Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Program (EUDP) as well as state subsidy in hand, TotalEnergies-led carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) undertaking Project Bifrost is now getting some tailwind.
