TotalEnergies intentionally flares off large quantities of oil in Danish part of North Sea

The oil giant routinely disposes of natural gas from a Danish oil field even though the Danish Energy Agency in november warned that a continuation of this practice would be "inconsistent with the provisions in the established permissions." The oil company has postponed its planned solution until 2023.

Oil major TotalEnergies, which is the by far the dominant operator in the Danish part of the North Sea, routinely turns to the energy-squandering and climate adverse practice known as routine flaring in the Gorm field. This is evident from new information obtained by EnergyWatch.
