Oil company plans to increase output at its Permian Basin oil field by approximately 10 percent compared to last year, writes Bloomberg News.

Last year, Chevron produced 608,000 barrels of oil a day from the field, which is the largest in the US.

Several oil majors are currently boosting output to capitalize on the past year's surging oil prices, which have reached the highest level for many years.
