Things are looking up for TotalEnergies

The French oil supermajor benefited from high oil and gas prices in Q4 of 2021, during which the company was able to multiply its adjusted result by six. While the financial situation is improving, a Danish case on routine flaring in the North Sea is casting a long shadow for the company.

2021's growing optimism within the global oil and gas industry after a corona-ridden 2020 also spread to French oil company TotalEnergies in the last months of 2021. In Q4, the company was pleased with oil prices growing by an additional 9 percent.
