Mærsk Supply Service, which is part of the Maersk group, has been awarded a contract by Shell in Brazil.

In a press release issued Wednesday, Maersk Supply Service informs that the contract is an integrated solution contract for a station-keeping assignment that involves the removal of an emergency gas lift riser on the floating production storage and offloading vessel Fluminense.

The scope of responsibility extends to station keeping, including vessels, heading control procedures, towmasters, survey equipment and deck crew for the FPSO to manage turret operations.

Two Maersk Supply Service anchor-handling tugboats, Maersk Launcher and Maersk Lancer, will assist in the offshore elements of the contract and begin their charter from Rio de Janeiro.
