Norway has managed to raise its natural gas exports to new heights after Western countries have largely sought to buy fuel from countries other than Russia due to the war in Ukraine.

10.2 billion cubic meters of gas flowed from the Scandinavian country to other European destinations via pipelines during March –the largest monthly volume to date, reports domestic media Montel based on new figures from Statistics Norway.

For comparison, Norway exported a total of 9.6 bcm during February. 9.8 bcm were exported in March of last year.

March revenue of NOK 112.4bn from gas sales also set a record, as did oil sales worth NOK 51.6bn made from exporting 52.7 million barrels.
