Prosafe CEO sees acquisition opportunities in fragmented market approaching upswing

The market for accommodation rigs is in a good position for a multiannual upturn within offshore oil and gas, says Prosafe Chief Executive Jesper K. Andresen in an interview with ShippingWatch. Right now, he is keeping an eye on rigs on the water which Prosafe could either ”operate or own.”

The large so-called accommodation rigs for employees in the offshore sector are getting increasingly busy as major oil and gas companies are beginning to invest on the basis of high earnings.

Even though a company such as Prosafe, which operates seven such large accommodation rigs, has to wait for some time before reaping benefits of the investments carried out by oil firms today, it is only good news that customers are doing well.
